How do the lessons work?
Lessons take place exclusively on Preply. My teaching style is unique: I type everything we talk about, explain every word to let you truly understand the meaning of what you say, and I also focus on pronunciation. For example, with "Je m'appelle...", I explain: "appeler" means "to call", "s'appeler" means "to call oneself". I use many examples to explain concepts, like for reflexive verbs: "lever" (to lift) and "se lever" (to lift oneself → to get up).
How long does it take to make progress?
It depends on your starting point and commitment. Generally, with 1-2 lessons per week and regular practice, you can see significant progress in speaking within 2-3 months. To reach an intermediate level from scratch, expect about 6 months of regular practice.
